A Writer's Promise

Let this act as official notice that a writer whom we all know and love made a promise tonight..... Lexi Sutton, at 8:25pm this 28th day of May, 2006, promised that by the end of June, 2006 the current book in progress would be complete.

Lee and I went to some friends for a cook out today and had a fabulous time. Chuck grilled some sausage links that were made with chicken, bacon and apple.....wonderful! Mike made grilled corn on the cobb which was really great. Other fare consisted of "Flintstone" steaks, chicken breast, creme brulet and banana pudding. Talk about an oink fest. All in all it was a very nice holiday.

See you next time.

Update to Previous Posting

I just found out that my friend Steve's potential house buyer was a possible serial killer and whack job (maybe I'm exagerating just a tad) so the deal fell through. Sorry Steve. However, the part about him being hard to handle when he's tired.....that part is still true. Still luv ya man.

See you next time.

Memorial Day Weekend

So, what is everybody doing this weekend? Mine will be somewhat tame. I think I'm going to see The Da Vinci Code this evening, and tomorrow?????...no plans (sounds exciting so far?). Monday we'll be going to some friends house for a cook out. I think this weekend will prove to be quite nice and relaxing. My friend Steve on the other hand is going to have a very busy weekend. His house sold (an offer he couldn't refuse) and the buyer wants him out by 6/4/06. That's only one week away. I'd be crapping in my drawers. I think he'll be okay as long as he doesn't get too tired and bitchy. I've experienced his bitchy side (in Hawaii) and it isn't pretty. When he gets too tired he can be very unreasonable and argumentative, and the only way to diffuse this ugly mood is with a very strong cocktail .....at least that's how I remember it. Luv ya man.

See you next time.

Post-Op Visit

Today I went for my first post-op visit. The doc took some x-rays, checked the incision and replaced the bandage. He said all looks good and appears to be mending well. I go back in a week for another check up and he will decide when I can go back to work. Still bored, I think my condo is getting smaller and smaller.

See you next time.

My Butt Hurts

You know, I am just not cut out to be a couch potato. I've been sitting since Thursday and my ass has gone numb. It doesn't matter whether I'm sitting on the sofa bed or the chair....MY BUTT HURTS! I've got a headache too, I wonder if there is any correlation there. I'm sure a lot of my friends would think so. Oh well, tonight is spaghetti, garlic bread and the season finale of desperate Housewives...WOO HOO!

See you next time.

Day Three

Well, today my nurse took me to the bagel shop for breakfast. It was great to get out of the house. This afternoon I ate two chili dogs and a huge order of onion rings with a diet coke chaser. I watched two movies, Dead End and Evita. If I keep this up for much longer, I am going to end up like one of those "two ton Tessie's" that you see on Jerry Springer and they will have to remove a wall to get me out of the condo. That's enough blogging for today, I have a dvd and a bag of Chitos with my name on it. jk

See you next time.

Day Two

Today is day two of sitting around the house with my foot propped up...above the heart. Apparently this helps to prevent swelling along with the twenty minutes on/twenty minutes off with the ice pack. Why am I doing this? Well, yesterday I had surgery on my right foot to remove some excess bone and to clean out the joint that is between the big toe and the foot. Supposedly this procedure is going to improve the range of motion of my big toe and eliminate (hopefully) the severe pain that it was causing. I do not understand how some people, who are perfectly healthy, can choose to sit on their butt all day long and do nothing. I am sure I have bed sores. Anyway, enough of the whining. Thanks to my sister I have become addicted to a very unique television show called Nip/Tuck. Alison gave me season 1 & 2 on dvd to watch while recuperating and I can not wait for season 3 to be released. Enough for now, I need to get back to my show.

PS - Special thanks to my private nurse (Lee) without whom I would have to hunt for my own food and water.

See you next time.
